Data kept on your device only

The app stores your settings (language, appearance, background, voice speed, reminders), your lesson and quiz progress, your mushaf reading position and bookmarks, and your chosen reciter on your device. None of it is sent to any server, and all of it is removed when you delete the app.

Location (Qibla and prayer times only)

When you open the Qibla compass or prayer times, the app asks for location access while in use. Your location is used on the device to compute the Qibla direction and prayer times, and is kept on the device only so the times work offline. It is never sent to us or anyone else. Your city's name comes from a list of places bundled in the app, offline. The lock-screen and home-screen widgets show times from the same location kept on your device; if you allow widgets to use your location, the widget determines it on your device too. You can decline or revoke access at any time in Settings.

Notifications

Adhan alerts and the daily reminder are local notifications scheduled by your device. We use no remote notifications and do not know whether alerts are on.

Recitation downloads

Most content, including the mushaf, tafsir, translations and several recitations, is bundled and works offline. If you play a surah that is not bundled, it is downloaded from mp3quran.net over a secure connection. Like any website, those servers receive your device's IP address to complete the download. We send no information about you with it.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages and collects no data from any user, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top will be updated. We will not start collecting data without updating this policy and asking for your consent in the app.
